After 7 months of work the Apache Syncope team is proud to announce the final release of the first stable version since entering the Apache Incubator. This release took a bit more than expected because the team had to get familiar with new ASF procedures and toolset.

Apache fun: Cocoon 2.1.X and Tomcat 7

Syncope recently gained official support for Glassfish 3.1.1: since the JPA layer did - again recently - move to Apache OpenJPA, we faced some issues when trying to deploy Syncope - as OpenJPA-powered web application - to Glassfish.

E se qualcuno avesse brevettato la ruota? Cosa penso dell'Open Source.

Bene o male tutti conosciamo i vantaggi e la storia dell'Open Source, soprattutto per chi lavora nel nostro settore; quindi, proprio perché non voglio scrivere di cose banali, mi evito tutta la manfrina del "è successo questo è successo quello". Lavoro, in un modo o in un altro, sull'Open Source ormai da diversi anni, questo ha fatto si che mi facessi un'idea su cosa sia e su come è cambiato il contesto che ruota intorno a questo mondo.
